Track & manage student behavior effectively
Behavior Tracker
The Behavior Tracker helps you log, monitor, and improve student behavior across your school.
Use quick presets to log incidents in seconds. Add details, severity level, and action taken.
See which times, days, or activities have the most incidents. Spot trends before they become problems.
Incidents move through 4 tiers. The right people (Teacher, SAC, SLT) are notified automatically.
Track follow-ups like parent meetings or student reflections. Mark complete when done.
A teacher logs a low-level disruption. After 4 similar incidents, the system escalates to Tier 1 and notifies the Homeroom Teacher to contact parents.
Access: Teacher App → Behavior Tracker button
Student calls out without raising hand. Teacher gives a verbal reminder and notes the incident. After 4 similar incidents, the system automatically escalates to Tier 1.
Student repeatedly disrupts class after multiple reminders. Homeroom teacher logs the incident, contacts parents, and implements a behavior contract.
Student has ongoing behavioral challenges. SAC is notified automatically, creates a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), and schedules regular check-ins.
Student requires intensive support. SLT is notified, a Behavior Support Plan (BSP) is created, and external specialists may be involved.
1. Select a Grade and Class from the dropdown
2. Click on any student to open their profile
3. Find the correct tier section (Pre-Tier 1, Tier 1, etc.)
4. Click "+ Add Incident"
5. Fill in the details (date, behaviour type, description)
6. Select "Action Taken" and add your name as "Handled By"
7. Click "Save Incident"
Use the Quick Preset buttons to log common behaviours instantly. Each preset includes the behaviour type, category, and severity level.
"Student was disruptive"
"Student left their seat without permission during independent work time. After a verbal reminder, they returned to their seat but continued talking to peers."
• Be specific: "Student left seat without permission" not "Student was disruptive"
• Be factual: Use neutral language, avoid emotional words
• Log incidents the same day they occur
• Document what action you took and student's response
• Include any de-escalation strategies that worked
• Low severity → Homeroom Teacher only
• Medium severity → Homeroom Teacher + SAC
• High severity → Homeroom Teacher + SAC + SLT
Click the Bell icon (🔔 Alerts) to view all notifications. Each notification shows student name, class, teacher, and incident details.
Click the "Tasks" button to see pending follow-ups:
• 🔴 High Priority: Parent communication needed
• 🟡 Medium Priority: Student reflection pending
Click "Edit Incident" to update and mark complete.
📌 Scenario: A Year 6 student is involved in a playground incident (high severity).
The system automatically notifies the Homeroom Teacher, SAC, and SLT. The SAC creates a task for the teacher: "Schedule parent meeting within 3 days." The teacher logs the meeting outcome, and the task is marked complete. Everyone stays informed without endless email chains.
Click the "Dashboard" button to view:
• Total incidents and students affected
• Most common behaviour types
• Grade-level breakdown of incidents
• Trend analysis (increasing/decreasing incidents)
Filter students by tier, priority, or search by name. Each student card shows:
• Current tier level and pending tasks
• Days since last incident
• Trend (improving/worsening/stable)
• Most common behaviour type
A student shows "Improving" trend - incidents decreasing over 4 weeks. The counselor reduces check-in frequency from weekly to monthly and focuses on positive reinforcement.
A student shows "Worsening" trend - incidents increasing. The counselor escalates from Tier 1 to Tier 2, assigns a BIP, and schedules a team meeting with parents and teachers.
Dashboard shows a 40% increase in incidents in Grade 7 during lunch. Leadership schedules additional supervision and implements a lunchtime point-earning activity. Next month, incidents drop by 25%.
Analytics reveal Monday mornings have the highest incident rate school-wide. The school introduces "Monday Morning Check-Ins" with small point rewards. Incidents drop by 30% within two terms.

Add your own rewards, change point thresholds, edit descriptions, or delete existing ones.

The TrackEDU Ecosystem
TrackEDU has three connected apps that work together. The Teacher App manages points, classes, and rewards. The Student App lets students track their personal points, unlock holographic cards, and participate in school-wide events. The Behavior Tracker helps teachers and leaders monitor student well-being, identify patterns, and develop strategies to support positive outcomes.
How Students Access the Student App
Click 'Student Portal' in dashboard header
Tap Menu (≡) → 'Student Portal'
Student ID + Class Passcode
Teachers and school leaders can use the Behavior Tracker alongside the Rewards system to identify patterns, celebrate positive trends, and develop targeted support strategies.
Year 5B points +40%, incidents dropped. Teacher shares strategy school-wide.
Three students low points + multiple incidents. SAC check-in reveals group work struggles → intervention created.
Highest incidents + lowest points on Mondays. "Monday Check-In" routine drops incidents 25%.
Teacher uses "Golden Ticket" for peer help. School adopts it → incidents drop school-wide.
High points but incidents during transitions. Fix: Add points for smooth transitions. Incidents drop 40%.
Pro Tip: Use the Behavior Tracker's Dashboard view to see school-wide trends and identify which times, days, or activities need additional positive reinforcement. Look for teachers whose classes have high points AND low incidents - they may have strategies worth sharing school-wide. Also watch for high points + high incidents - this often means rewards are working for academics but not yet aligned with behavior expectations.
Complete Feature Guide
Each student receives a unique ID from their teacher. Combined with their class passcode, they can securely access their profile.
